The Nanyu line runs three stations, Yulin North, Xingye South, and Hengzhou, under one operator, but they feed three different crowds. Advertise without reading the crowd and the money leaks. Let's take them one by one.
1. Yulin North: Nanning-bound Business and Returnees
Yulin North is the big brother. Guangxi's third-largest high-speed station, four platforms and nine lines, currently 5,000–6,000 riders a day. As a dead end it only reaches Nanning East, so right now two groups dominate: business travelers running to Nanning, and returnees visiting family. People from Beiliu, Rongxian, Bobai, Luchuan also board here.
The profile is clear: spending power, frequent Nanning trips, natural warmth toward Guangxi-local brands. Fits home furnishing, automotive, telecom, local chains, agricultural gift boxes. An auto brand rotates models on the waiting-hall screens and pairs it with a logo light box at entry; business travelers see it both ways daily, showroom test-drive conversion beats local radio.
Digital screens in Yulin North's waiting hall. Business and returning travelers mix here, the most frequent touchpoint for a brand to build awareness in Yulin.
2. Xingye South: County Daily Travel
Xingye South is the quiet one. A county station, smaller flow, riders are county residents on daily trips, migrant workers commuting, surrounding townships. These people aren't rushing to the Greater Bay Area; they move between Nanning, Yulin, and Xingye.
Brands doing business in Xingye, local supermarkets, farm machinery, county tourism, recruitment, speak on this screen to their actual customers, no need to fight national brands for attention. Recruitment and training do best here: county youth see it on every trip in and out, coverage beats town posters. Farm machinery same, hang a wave before spring plowing, straight in front of farmers.
Xingye South platform. County stations draw a quiet but precise crowd, fit for direct local-life communication.
3. Hengzhou: Jasmine Industry Travel
Hengzhou carries a special tag: jasmine. Hengzhou is the jasmine capital. Industry business travel, jasmine-tea buyers, Nanning commuters make up the mainstream. Tea companies, cultural tourism, local consumer brands get better value here than at Yulin North, because the people match and competition is thin. A jasmine-tea brand here needs no origin explanation, riders come for Hengzhou anyway, remember the name and online repurchase follows. Cultural tourism picks this station too, the crowd is exactly the nearby-travel prospect.
Hengzhou platform. The jasmine industry brings steady business travel, a precise scene for tea and tourism brands.
4. Three Stations, One Package, Met from Entry to Exit
The three stations are one package: 97 light boxes, one 152 sqm full-color LED, 14 dual-sided 4K ad machines. Slots cover entrance passage, waiting hall, exit passage, platform, and ticket-check gate. That means one person meets your brand three or four times from entry to exit. Screens and LED handle rotation, light boxes hold steady exposure; combine them and frequency climbs.
Home furnishing, auto, telecom, local chains, agri-gifts
Most volume, pricey, fierce
Xingye South
County daily travel, migrant commute
Local supermarkets, farm machinery, county tourism, hiring
Cheap, precise, low volume
Hengzhou
Jasmine industry travel, Nanning commute
Tea, tourism, local consumer
Best-matched crowd, thin competition
The three-station resource numbers come from the Nanyu line station ad tender award notice (project HG2026-FW112); Lianping Media is the winning bidder, on a six-year whole-package lease. That means these slots can go live now, no need to wait for opening.
5. Within a Station, Position Also Splits Effect
Entrance passage and waiting hall are forced-view zones travelers can't avoid, good for the brand name. Exit passage slows people down and brings attention back, good for action prompts like "where to eat, where to buy after you step out." The ticket-check queue holds people 8–15 minutes, good for making one point clear. Spread different messages across positions beats hanging the same creative everywhere.
6. Don't Pick a Station by Size Alone
Yulin North has volume but costs more and fights harder. Xingye South and Hengzhou are cheap, precise, but low volume. A local brand covering the whole county does better taking all three as a package than dumping the whole budget on one pricey Yulin North screen. Money spent on the right people, not the most people.
Rough split reference. A local brand covering the whole county: Yulin North 40%, Xingye South 30%, Hengzhou 30%; the three-station package costs less than two Yulin North screens alone. A Yulin-city-only brand just needs one Yulin North LED plus a few light boxes, don't fill county stations to hit a quota.
We've seen it reversed: a tight budget poured onto one expensive Yulin North screen, while Xingye and Hengzhou stay blank and a competitor quietly takes them with cheap slots. Railway advertising isn't won by the loudest voice; it's won by the brand standing in front of the right crowd.
Yulin North has one more variable: after the 2027 full opening, its crowd shifts from "Nanning-bound" to "Greater Bay Area-bound," cross-city business and tourist shares rise. Brands hanging now pre-occupy space in front of future high-value crowds. Another reason we keep telling brands not to wait for the opening.
