Big brands blanket the country with screens; small brands see the price sheet and back off. The three Nanyu stations play differently. With little money you can still get results. Let's open the books.
1. First, Know the Price Gap Across Three Stations
Yulin North is the volume leader, 5,000–6,000 daily, pricey screens, fierce competition. Xingye South and Hengzhou are county stations, cheap, precise, low volume. A local brand covering the whole county does better taking all three as a package than dumping the budget on one pricey Yulin North screen.
Lianping Media holds the whole three-station package (project HG2026-FW112, six-year lease): 97 light boxes, one 152 sqm full-color LED, 14 dual-sided 4K ad machines. The package usually runs two to three tenths cheaper than buying apart, so we tell clients to take the package, not split and compare.
2. Don't Buy One Medium, Mix Them
Each medium does one job. Light boxes hang all day, steady exposure, build trust. Screens rotate hundreds of times a day, high-frequency penetration, repeat the reminder. LED hits hard visually, holds the face, sets the tone.
Digital screen array at Yulin North. A tight budget still repeats the message through high-frequency rotation, no need for one pricey screen.
How to mix on a small budget? At Xingye South, Hengzhou, one light box plus a few screens covers the main in-out flow. Yulin North is expensive; take one LED and a few light boxes, don't fill county stations just to pad numbers. Money on the right people.
3. Timing Saves More Than Duration
Railway ads have peak and off seasons. Yulin North now only reaches Nanning East, steady flow but not yet peaked. The Yucen section opens year-end; after the 2027 full link the crowd shifts to Greater Bay Area-bound, then prices rise and competition bites.
To save, lock the slot now. To amplify at a node, start one to two months ahead of spring renovation season, the golden September–October home-buying window, year-end refurbish — grab the pre-decision mind. Home furnishing, auto, these heavy-decision categories convert far better with node timing than blind year-round buys.
4. The QR Code Is a Small Brand's Lifeline
Big brands throw visuals; small brands must catch flow with a QR. Put clearly on the creative "scan for what, where to buy, how to reach," pull the station viewer to WeChat, store, mini-program.
Light box at Yulin North. Good for holding the brand name long-term, plus a standing QR that catches conversion.
The numbers are plain. Home-furnishing brands doing local deep cultivation lifted qualified leads 29% over blind national buys, store traffic 41%. Auto brands pushing down to tier-3/4 core stations raised showroom visits 32%. Behind those figures, a QR turned "seen" into "acted."
5. A Few Traps to Skip
Don't blind-buy national. Spread budget, big reach but thin precise flow. Know the crowd first: tea firms, farm gear, county tourism, hiring, speak at Xingye South, Hengzhou, your customer sits across, no need to fight national brands for attention.
Don't pick a station by size alone. Yulin North has volume but costs; county stations are cheap and precise but low volume. With little money, just take the county stations and work local life through, more real than squeezing onto one Yulin North screen.
Don't cram the creative with text. Ad line under 8 characters, total copy under 15, main visual over 70%, QR in the corner. Too much text, nobody reads, money wasted.
6. A Rough Reference
Local brand covering the whole county: Yulin North 40%, Xingye South 30%, Hengzhou 30%; the three-station package costs less than two Yulin North screens alone. Yulin-city only: one LED plus a few light boxes. Xingye and Hengzhou only: one or two light boxes plus screen rotation, a few thousand yuan runs a month.
