Carmakers move ads into stations; this is old news. Mercedes-Benz and Tesla put new-car shots in Chongqing North; Li Auto and NIO run panoramic light boxes in Fuzhou South; FAW-VW and Leapmotor screen in Wuhan station halls. The rail station became a screen car brands cannot skip.
Why the station? Look at the crowd. High-speed rail riders skew business commuters, middle-class families, and educated buyers, exactly the people who buy family cars and EVs. Wuhan station: 45% business, over 60% college. Fuzhou South: 37% management. Brands want people with money who are already traveling.
The numbers say it. One major EV maker's 2026 rail campaign lifted store visits in lower-tier cities by 32% and regional awareness by 47%. At Chongqing North, 37% are business travelers; Mercedes and Tesla sit in the VIP lounge. At Fuzhou South, 37% management; Li Auto and NIO use the transfer hall. A station is not one spot; it is a chain covering entry, waiting, and exit, and a rider meets your ad at least three times.
Online traffic gets costly and everyone can scroll past it. The station is the most certain offline impression: people arrive, stand there, look up, no algorithm. Riders wait 30-90 minutes with few distractions. Airports skew luxe; rail covers the broad middle class and lower-tier markets, fitting EV brands' "mass adoption, national reach" play.
1. Yulin's line is one car brands should not miss
Yulin North now moves 5,000-6,000 a day, only linked to Nanning East. Yu-Cen opens end of 2026, reaches the Greater Bay Area in 2027, daily to 15,000-20,000. The Nan-Yu section already carried 2.75 million in its first year. Around the opening, flow doubles; brands will notice.
Yulin itself has buyers. Yulin people who run business outside, and returners during festivals, often add a car. A dealer by Yulin North ran a scan-to-lead campaign; store visits that week jumped. Around auto shows and new-model launches is when brands should push hardest.
2. Three stations, three crowds
Yulin North is the gateway: business, returners, investors. Xingye South serves the county: practical, cheap, run-around buyers. Hengzhou is the tea-trade corridor with outside merchants. One table:
| Station | Entry LED | Screens | Light box | Main crowd |
| Yulin North | Brand visual + price | Model loop | Exit claim | Business/return/invest |
| Xingye South | County care | Model + price | Store gift | Family value |
| Hengzhou | Brand face | Tea-trade path | Image | Outside merchants |
Yulin North: enlarge the entry LED with "from XX, XX km range." Exit light box gives one concrete claim; waiting time is the decision window. Xingye South loops model and price on screens, beats a roadside board. Hengzhou builds the brand face so "see cars in Hengzhou" comes naturally.
3. Do not make the creative a spec sheet
Riders glance for seconds. One benefit plus one car shot: price, range, test-drive gift. Add a QR to the sales rep; scan, capture lead, book a test drive on the way out. Do not hang one week only; cars are big tickets, buyers compare, two weeks minimum to register.
Bundle quote: Lianping (HG2026-FW112) holds 97 light boxes, 横向152 sqm LED, 14 machines, package cheaper than single buys by 20-30%. Before Yu-Cen opens is the price low: now priced on 5,000-6,000; after the opening, the rate card will not be this price.
Brand manager or dealer? Tell us your model and target crowd; we plan the schedule and creative across the three stations.
