Yulin hosts three big fairs a year: the Medicine Expo in June, the SME Business Fair in September, the Spice Expo in November. During each, buyers flood in from across China. Yet many exhibitors skip one move — claiming a spot at the rail station before the buyers even land.
1. Yulin's fairs are no small thing
The 15th Yulin TCM Expo in 2025 filled 70,000 sqm with over 100 exhibitors, 18 of them medical institutions, drawing over 100,000 visitors in three days. The 17th SME Business Fair at Yulin International Convention Center drew 700+ exhibitors across 35,000 sqm. The 3rd Yulin International Spice Expo went bigger: 139 booths, 180,000 sqm, 700+ spice firms from home and abroad. Yulin is China's largest spice distribution hub — 80% of the nation's and two-thirds of the world's spices pass through here.
All three return every year, and 2026 is no exception. The question: when a buyer flies in from elsewhere, lands in Nanning, then transfers to Yulin by train — what do they see first?
2. Pre-fair placement is a proven play
Do not think this is a Yulin quirk. At AWE 2026, Haier, Hisense, Fotile, Gree and Suning blanketed Shanghai Hongqiao station, seeding their brands into buyers' heads before they reached the venue. Jialong Foods rode the Chengdu sugar-and-wine fair with a Chengdu station screen. Carpoly's design show picked 64 LCDs at Guangzhou South, 380 plays a day. Lianzhou's farm products took over Guangzhou South's pillar corridor, 7 million reach in four weeks.
One line sums it: arrive and you are seen, enter and you know. The buyer remembers the name before the hall; see it again inside, and the impression stacks.
3. How the three stations split the buyers
Yulin North is the first stop for most out-of-town buyers — put the main visual, booth number and hero product there; the LED screen has the punch. Xingye South and Hengzhou catch county-town buyers and local bosses; there, run the "come see the fair" invitation and route guidance.
| Station | Who it meets | What to run |
| Yulin North | Out-of-town buyers' first stop | Key visual, booth no., hero product |
| Xingye South | County buyers, local bosses | Fair invitation, route guide |
| Hengzhou | Tea & spice traders | Spice matchmaking, fair guide |
4. Time the launch right
Go live two to four weeks before the fair. Too early, buyers have not left — money burned. Too late, they have arrived and you missed the first eye. Cover the whole fair plus a week on each side, so travelers both ways catch it.
Do not just print "welcome." Put the booth number, the hero product, one plain-language slogan. The QR links to hall navigation or booking; keep it small.
5. Lock the spot before the line opens
The Nan-Yu line carried 2.75 million in its first year; Yulin North now runs five to six thousand a day. After the Yu-Cen section opens end of 2026 and the full line in 2027, it climbs to 10-20k daily — and the rate card will not stay where it is now. Exhibitors return every year; lock the three-station package early and you pay less than buying per fair, and avoid losing the good spots next year.
